03/12/18 - Five months have passed and it is time for another new Declared Dead album! This one might be the most ambitious yet easily manifested thus far! The Declared Dead crew are really glad about the way this one transpired! A new level of "maturity" and "progression" seems to be apparent on this release. Its title is "Blood Bender". There's a bit of a conceptual tie-in with the previous "Shiv" e.p. (but an elevated multi-layered aspect has transcended the whole overall). Feel free to grab your copy over at BandCamp, today! "Blood Bender" will also be available through various other digital distribution besides. More news soon.
10/11/17 - Work has, already, begun on the fourth full length Declared Dead album (mere days after the release of "A Date With The Coroner"). Song writing and concept titles are in progress. It seems the next Declared Dead offering will be more in the vein of "Shiv" (fast, heavy, and aggressive).
10/08/17 - "A Date With The Coroner" has FINALLY been released! It took a little longer than anticipated. But - the day has arrived! Download it at: BandCamp and listen to it at the various other sites (listed in the "Deranged!" section). YouTube vids are still on the way. If you want it - you've got it. Enjoy.
7/11/17 - Have a gander at the new album cover and website's related decorative motif! Speaking of which, the new Declared Dead album is still in progress (currently, four songs to finish up). The band will be in the studio the next two weeks to add the finishing touches to this album extraordinaire! The new opus should be released by early to mid August, if all goes sufficiently.
4/21/17 - Progress on the next album is coming along fine. It will consist of eleven tracks. A release date will be announced "soon" (we're aiming for late May of this year). The working title for the next release is "A Date With The Coroner".
1/15/17 - The new album "Revel in the Macabre" has been released on January 8th of this "new year"). You can download it for free (along with the rest of the Declared Dead albums/e.p.s/demos/etc.) at BandCamp and/or listen to it at SoundCloud and StereoKiller (you can download it at StereoKiller as well in MP3 form. BandCamp includes all the extra artwork/lyrics pages, however). "Revel in the Macabre" turned out to be kind of an "Avant-garde Blackened Thrash meets Punkish Gothic Death 'n' Roll" type of thing. We aim for each Declared Dead release to have a unique character all its own. No two albums sounding the same, yet having an overall recognizable style/delivery...like all "great bands". We don't wish to limit ourselves to "main genres" of Metal, either. We enjoy aspects of all sub-genres of Metal and will mix those influences and inspirations into the Declared Dead sound/presentation. Creative freedom! That's what Metal means to us! Besides this update - we are striving to update this entire site. Nothing major...just "spiffing it up" a bit. We have material for the next D.D. album already at hand, as well. We'll shoot for another full length release by the end of this year! Metal 'til mutha-fuckin' death! :-)
9/27/16 - Development on the next Declared Dead album (or albums) is progressing nicely. More songs than we anticipated are coming about. We thought we'd have another slab o' Blackened Death Thrash ready for you hungry fiends around Halloween of this year but the way things look (with all the extra riffs of Metallic graciousness and Hellish blessings bestowed), we'll aim for a very early 2017 release or releases. We'd love to whip out more Metal at a rapid fire pace (and we - still - kind of are), but we want a certain level of creative standard for each release, as well. So, maybe, two new Declared Dead albums are making their way right now? Or we'll have to hand pick the most compelling hymns of death out of the vast bunch we're working with, now, and leave the rest by the wayside for one ultra-fantastic new album chock full of various corporeal flavors...cadaver stew, anyone? More updates to follow and swallow!
6/29/16 - A quick "Thrash 'n' Slash" mini-album/e.p. has been released on 6/26/16! It's called "Shiv". It's "short, fast, and to the point!" Give the "Shiv" to someone you love...to hate! You can find the various sites it's available at using the "Deranged!" link up above! We'll be working on the full length follow-up to "Denounced and Defiled" and, probably, another e.p. (simultaneously?) the rest of this year and get them out to you ASAP! We'd like to get another e.p. out in October of this year, actually...we'll see if we can pull it off...rip 'n' tear style!
5/10/2016 - Check out a brand new interview of the band here: Winter Torment Web-zine! It's, also, available here: Primitive Ways Web-zine! A double dose of "double D" (well, same interview at both locations...but what the hell). Thanks to Patrick S. for that opportunity! There's, also, a brand new links page on this site. "Deviants" is set up for "mutual support of bands/web-zines/etc." that support us and we - in return - support back. Hence, Winter Torment and Primitive Ways web-zines are linked there, already! It was, also, noticed that some cool as hell Metal-head added Declared Dead to Metal Archives, recently! Special thanks goes to who(m)ever did that! They, even, took the time to add lyrics! Thanks, again!
4/19/2016 - Finally! The debut album of Declared Dead is finished and is becoming available! "Denounced and Defiled" has eleven tracks of "Blackened Death-Thrash" to blast in blasphemy. It has taken much work and a collaborative effort on our parts to bring this collection forth. We feel it represents us as an homage to the "old school" way of doing things with a touch of creativity that hasn't quite yet been done in our exact way. We're not trying to be "the most" this or that (throw in words like "brutal", "extreme", "technical", etc.), we're just trying to summon songs with interesting twists - here and there - but that remain "catchy" at the same time. We continue to strive for overall ease and acumen of our individual abilities as "musicians", but we don't wish for technique to overshadow feeling. We hope you enjoy our first album! We look forward to creating another when we get the chance! Full Devil Horned Salutes all around!
9/23/2015 - It's been over a year since Declared Dead has submitted anything new. A severe line-up change occurred as well as a new settling of residence for the only "beginning member" (Anders Milovovich). Deadication to Declared Dead has not wavered, however. A stronger band has formed and Declared Dead is now working on a full length album (as opposed to the initial 2nd demo). Declared Dead entered the studio this past July to record a test version of "Born Demonic", for the new album (to get a feel for the process and to see what devastation could develop). The mastered version is now available to blast from your crypt (Declared Dead Soundcloud Page)! Declared Dead will attempt to get back to the studio sometime in early 2016 to get more work done on the debut album (working title of "Denounced and Defiled"). We will gather funds and develop our chops further while we wait for our opportunity. We hope you enjoy our first offering ("Born Demonic") and look forward to our first "real release" whenever we get the chance to offer it!
7/05/2014 - Declared Dead has officially begun! The band was started at the beginning of June '14 and we've quickly made our first demo entitled "Subterranean Nightmare". We will make it available in, mostly, digital formats across the internet. We look forward to working on our 2nd demo in the next few weeks/months. It is our hopes that we improve our musicianship and production skills but keeping within the confines of the "Old School Death Metal" spirit! Stay (de)-tuned!
