Declared Dead was formed at the beginning of June 2014 by Anders Milovovich/Vocals & Guitars. During that month the "Subterranean Nightmare" (Demo) was recorded with then members: Rick Ribisi/Guitars & Vocals, Jared Larsen/Bass & Synth-Keys, and Jon Angstrum/Drums. It was released on July 5th, 2014.
During the year of 2015, Anders had to part ways with those fledgling musicians from Ostend to move to his current residence in Zwijndrecht, Belgium. Anders found his new necessary bandmates during that year of 2015 (Deiter Cox/Bass & Vocals, Dimitri Nagel III/Guitars, and Mikhel Van Zaal/Drums & Keyboards). A synergistic rapport facilitated itself quite rapidly between the four members - which advanced Declared Dead up a few notches on the noose as a whole.
The debut album "Denounced and Defiled" was put together/rehearsed and recorded/mixed/mastered at various times between July '15 through April '16. It was released on April 17th, 2016. That album was fraught with scheduling conflicts and a novice approach/understanding of the whole recording process in a studio setting. Anders was hampered by throat problems at the time of some of the recordings, as well, but managed the best he could under the circumstances. The band - as a whole - feel "Denounced and Defiled" represents an adequate beginning to Declared Dead's "illustrious" output and "conceptual integrity". Though, they feel that there's constant room for improvement within all facets of their craft.
Frustrated with the time-span from the demo to the debut album (mostly by Anders), the band got "right to it" to "whip up" the e.p./mini-album titled "Shiv" right after "Denounced and Defiled" was released. It only took the band a little over two months to put those eight songs of hyper-riffology together which means it was brought forth between mid April to early June of '16. "Shiv" was released on June 26th, 2016 - boasting of being "Sharp, fast, and to the point".
It wasn't long after that the band began work on the next full length album (still hungry for more and raging with adrenaline from the offering of "Shiv"). There was an initial confusion between a potential of two albums manifesting at the same time during the first few months in. Quite a number of new songs were developing and two concepts were somewhat "neck and neck". While the band worked on the various songs, one concept started to emerge faster than the other and it became apparent that "Revel in the Macabre" would be the title/concept of the second full length album. The other songs that encroached during that same time (plus newly sprouting ones after the release of "Revel...") will be used for the third full length release - already in the works. The band hopes to have that one ready by the end of 2017 to solidify Declared Dead as a steady force of METAL will and fortification.
"Revel in the Macabre" was released on January 8th, 2017.
"A Date With The Coroner" has been released on October 8th, 2017 (exactly nine months after "Revel in the Macabre", oddly enough).
